The Machinist Non-Partisan Political League (MNPL)

GENERAL FUND

The MNPL is the political arm of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and is not affiliated with or bound to any political party. It was created in 1947 to allow IAM members to gather voluntary individual contributions, coordinated political activity and elect candidates who support IAM members and their families.

Candidates we support know that the MNPL stands for economic justice, security in the workplace and equality for every member. They do not take us for granted.

The MNPL scrutinizes each candidate thoroughly. We ask touch questions such as their positions on trade, labor law reform, economic conversion, transportation policies and enhancement of the U.S. manufacturing base.

EDUCATIONAL FUND

Every local and district lodge in the nation is asked to make a $1.00 per member per year contribution to the MNPL Educational Fund. This money is used to fund voter registration and get out the vote campaigns. We are proud that the Locals within District Lodge 27 have ALL given 100% of the recommended amount in years past. We want to thank those that have already taken care of this business for this year and encourage those that have not done so yet to put it on your agenda for your next Local Lodge meeting. THANKS AGAIN!

To access roll call votes click on the link to the appropriate Session. From the page entitled “Legislative Record Online,” scroll to “Bill Status Information.” Click on the link to the Senate or House bill or Senate or House resolution. Find the bill or resolution number that interests you and click on its link. The roll call votes will appear at the bottom of the page at a link called “Vote History.”

For miscellaneous roll call votes, including convening/quorum roll calls, access the "Legislative Record Online," then click on the link labeled "In House" or "In Senate" under "Front Page Information." Then click the link labeled "convening/quorum and other miscellaneous roll call votes." Similarly, vote modifications can be accessed through the "In House" or "In Senate" link by clicking on "vote modifications."

software, you can download a free Word Viewer from Microsoft to display bill text.
